Grilled Steak Tacos and Layered Dip

You all know that I really love bringing some of my amazing dishes from my kitchen, to yours. Today I thought I’d give you a recipe to do EXACTLY that! What I made in the video was something rather simple, but still incredibly good; we’ll be doing steak tacos, with a little rendition of my 7 layer dip. I’m sure you’ve all seen some 7 layer dips before, but I figured I’d give it a little Pamela La La spin to it! There isn’t really much to this dish, so if you need to save some coins, this is definitely the way to go.

  1. 1 Avocado
  2. 1 Tomato
  3. 2 Lemons
  4. 1 Red Pepper, Chopped
  5. 1 Green Pepper, Chopped
  6. 1 Head Garlic
  7. 1 Large Onion, Diced
  8. 1 Red Onion (Chopped and Sliced)
  9. 4 strips Wright Brand Bacon
  10. ½ Teaspoon Chili Powder
  11. ½ Teaspoon Cumin
  12. 2 Teaspoons La La Lishus Spice Blend (which can be found in the shop, here!)
  13. 1 Tablespoon Lea & Perrin’s Worcestershire Sauce
  14. 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  15. ½ Cup Ham Stock
  16. Jalapeno Peppers
  17. Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
  18. 1 Can Bush’s Cannellini Beans
  19. Daisy Sour Cream or Mexican Crema
  20. Olive Salad (Optional)
  21. Uncooked Flour Tortillas
  22. 2 ½lb Carne Picada sliced beef
  23. Tex Mex Ranchero Beans
7?? Layered Dip
  1. With a pair of kitchen shears, cut the bacon into strips and place it into a small skillet. Cook until crispy and brown. Drain, do NOT get rid of the bacon grease.
  2. In a medium saucepan with your Ranchero beans, add in diced onion, garlic, cumin, and mix with an immersion blender. Blend until smooth, with a little bit of texture. Stir in bacon grease to taste, to add a little bit more flavor.
  3. Sauté’ peppers and onions. In a small separate skillet, sauté sliced red onions. Apply cooking spray to a large cast iron skillet, and add in ranchero beans, sautéed red onions, shredded pepper jack cheese, diced onion, and a hint of La La Lishus. Broil in oven for about 4 minutes. Remove, and add in more cheese, onion, and cooked bacon, placing the bacon in the center of the dip. Broil in oven for an additional 3 minutes. Remove, and add cannellini beans around the bacon, sprinkle cheese and diced tomatoes, and add tortilla chips around the edges. Broil for an additional 3 minutes and remove.
Carne Picada Steet Tacos
  1. In a large bowl, place your steak mixture (opt to pat dry with a paper towel to get rid of the extra blood), and sprinkle in your La La Lishus spice blend, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, olive oil and chili powder, mix until meat is well coated. Allow meat to marinate for about 30-45 mins.
  2. Apply cooking spray to griddle, cook steak on griddle to desired degree of doneness.
  3. In a large cast iron skillet, apply cooking oil, and fry soft tortilla shells (folded) until hardened on both sides. Use a pair of tongs to keep the shells from frying together. Additionally, for chips, you can split the tortillas into quarters and fry them on both sides. This is an alternative method to buying the pre-made taco shells.
  4. Add in additional sautéed peppers on the bottom of the taco shell, and then add steak. Add in your Mexican Crema, or sour cream, jalapenos, cheese and avocado for guacamole on the top. Optionally, you can add in part of the olive salad on top.
